Detailed weather forecast for the Eshott Airfield area from the Met Office.
Welcome
clubhouseWe pride ourselves on being Northumberland's most accessible airfield with tarmac runways and planning permission for 70 aircraft. Visitors are welcome to come and take advantage of our facilities and can be sure of a warm reception.
We cater not only for Microlights but for all kinds of light aircraft (accommodated in our two large hangars) and aim to become a centre of excellence for air sports in the North.
Eshott Airfield from the WestFlying from Eshott started in November 1942 when the airfield was developed as a training facility for Spitfire Aircraft; at this time some 2000 people were accommodated on the site. Over the years most of the war-time facilities have been removed but the original runways remain and for the last 15 years have been used for recreational flying. In addition to the runways there are hangars which now accommodate a wide variety of modern aircraft.

The airfield is now the home of Eshott Airfield Flying Club and accommodates the club's headquarters. Inside the clubhouseThe club is made up of members of all ages and backgrounds but everyone is linked by a keen interest in aircraft and flying. Hangar Space AvailableAt weekends the clubhouse is bustling with members and visitors.

We currently have quality hangar space available for both microlights and light aircraft - just a 30 minute drive up the A1 from Newcastle!
